I'm amused as well

... by your completely irrelevant and misleading comment that is based on a machine translation - I highly doubt that the meaning comes across correctly via Babelfish or Google.

Three points for you, anyway:

a. I have been following the Mambo (and then Joomla) projects very closely and supporting them with a lot of energy for more than three years, so don\'t you tell me I don\'t know what I\'m writing about. Maybe if you had taken a look at the older articles on this blog you could have seen that I have been very supportive of Joomla during that time last year when the split happened.

b. If we subtract the personal attacks and false allegations from your anonymous comment, there\'s not much left. The only reason why I chose not to delete it, and reply, is for clarification.

c. Yes, I am partly unhappy with the way things are being run during the last few months, and I will damn well say so on my own blog and give my reasons if you kindly allow from your precious anonymity. If you can\'t take constructive criticism, simply stay away.

Kind regards,

I am amused by the babelfish translation of your article and by it\'s content. So forgive me if I\'ve understood you comments.

Do you have any idea how much stress the Joomla team has been through over the past seven months?

They lived and breathed Mambo. It was their baby. They walked away because they had no options, other than to do a deal with the devil.

Perhaps now that we\'re seeing Martin Brampton (of the new Mambo team) starting to ask the same questions about commercial interests interfering with the project, you can understand that the old team knew what they were doing.

And moreover, I find it contemptable that you make allegations about people\'s motives when you really have no insight into the difficulties the Joomla team has had to live with.

This is just another example of a self-important blog written by someone who\'s not balanced. Perhaps you should have got Ric Shreves (current Mambo Communities puppet) to write your story. It feels like propaganda.

Next time, consider the efforts of the Joomla team and show a bit of consideration, grace and useful support. You too hold a responsibility in influencing if people want to stay or go from the project — if it isn\'t fun anymore people won\'t want to be there.

So think before you write pulp fiction. - Gast (Gast)
