Die Schreckensmeldung trifft mich nicht ganz so hart wie noch vor einem Jahr. Bei Joomla 1.5 habe ich Wege gefunden, Optimierungen vorzunehmen, ohne eine SEO-Komponente einsetzen zu müssen. Es gibt zwar immer noch ein paar Dinge, wo dann doch sh404SEF zum Einsatz kommen muss (in der Regel bei größeren Sites), aber ansonsten mach ich mich - obwohl hardcore-SEO - dann doch langsam ein wenig locker.

Erstmal fein das es weitergeht, und ja mich interessieren auch diese Seosachen wie man das macht?

You can read more about the actions and decisions that lead up to this decision on my blog and our announcement on Monday. In short, after almost a year of inactivity, sh404SEF will now be a commercial GPL extension.

I will remain on as Lead Developer and am confident that my partnership with Anything Digital will renew the innovation and frequent release schedule that sh404SEF users had come to enjoy.

I realize that a commercial GPL model for sh404SEF will not be popular with all users, but I have come to the conclusion this is the only sustainable path for sh404SEF to survive and flourish.

They have a proven development model as evidenced by the popularity of JCal Pro, and since our announcement on Monday we have received much support from many areas of the Joomla community.
